We designed this part as a non-invasive solution to solve one of the all too common transmission/transfer case sump oil leaks.
One of the main leaks we encounter is due to the deformation of the original sump pan because of the weak reinforcement around the edge. The deformation is caused by over-tightening the nuts to pull the sump down, which works under the nut, but the sections between the nuts remains unaffected. Over the years this deformation remains permanent, effectively creating 10 high spots, one for each nut, making the oil leak worse.
Our parts are laser cut from 6mm Australian-made Bisalloy steel plate for superior strength and are zinc plated. It simply goes over the top of the existing sump pan using the same studs and nuts (some transmissions require longer studs) and allows you to pull the sump down evenly.
Before you fit our part, you must flatten out your sump and remove the high spots. Easily done with a standard workshop press and a bit of skill and patience.
