These are our reproductions of the removable transmission crossmembers found on the Australian Army's Series 2a and 3 Land Rovers.
The Australian Army introduced this modification to simplify and hasten the removal of the transmission. It's a great mod that cuts an all-day job down to 30 minutes! Not limited to military Land Rovers, our part can be added to any 109”.
The Army version of this crossmember had the tie rod bracket found on all 6-cylinder transmission crossmembers. We also fabricate a version for a 4-cylinder 109” without the bracket—please select your model from the drop-down menu.
All crossmembers come with brackets to be welded to your chassis and all the fasteners required. The 6-cylinder model has the transmission tie rod bracket welded in place.
Our parts are finished in red oxide primer.
